Microporous Silica Insulations

Armil C.F.S. offers microporous silica boards for applications requiring the most efficient insulation available. Both Mintherm 1925 and DynaGuard microporous boards offer exceptionally low thermal conductivity (lower than dormant air).

Mintherm 1925 microporous insulating board has a maximum use temperature of 1925°F. Each board is individually encapsulated in polyethylene foil to make it resistant to moisture. Mintherm 1925 is also available laminated with mineral fiber paper allowing it to be bent and wrapped around cylindrical surfaces. This packaging system allows it to be field cut to fit furnace or vessel linings.

Mintherm 1925 Board

DynaGuard microporous products are available in boards and flexible panels. This microporous insulation has an 1800oF continuous use limit. Dynaguard Boards are shrink wrapped to improve handling and increase moisture resistance. Dynaguard Panels are composed of a compressed microporous core encased in a high temperature textile shell. This shell provides additional structure, strength, and ease of handling and installation. Dynaguard Ladle Liner is a flexible, high temperature textile encased microporous insulation with a hydrophobic component, allowing this product to be used in conjunction with refractory castables, plastics, or mortars. Dynaguard Flexible is a fully quilted, high temperature textile encased microporous product.
